BEFORE I DIE

On the night before a life-changing surgery, two longtime friends, Dom and Derrick, drink, reminisce, and confront the unspoken truths between them.

BEFORE I DIE is an intimate portrait of Black masculinity, vulnerability, and the urgent need to say what we mean when it matters most. Inspired by Audre Lorde’s call to turn silence into language and action, the film asks: how do we honor the relationships that shape us before it’s too late?
