A newsletter of writing resources and reflections for emerging writers meant to inspire readers to dig deeper into the writing process.

  • Developed compelling and relatable content for the MILLENNIAL WRITER LIFE newsletter, addressing the concerns, aspirations, and experiences of emerging writers.

  • Curated a diverse array of writing resources, including writing prompts, tips, and calls for pitches

  • Crafted thought-provoking reflections and essays that delved into the intricacies of the writing process, fostering introspection and growth among subscribers.

IN OUR DNA (2020-2021)

As the Copywriter for the "IN OUR DNA" poster campaign, I played a pivotal role in crafting compelling narratives that highlighted the profound impact of contemporary and historical Cleveland cultural and political trailblazers. This collaborative project with Shooting Without Bullets aimed to celebrate and illuminate the rich tapestry of Cleveland's cultural heritage through a series of visually engaging and thought-provoking posters.

  • Conducted in-depth research on each featured trailblazer, diving into their contributions to Cleveland's cultural and political landscape.

  • Crafted evocative and impactful copy for each poster, capturing the essence of the trailblazers' stories, accomplishments, and their significance to the community.

  • Ensured that the copy effectively resonated with diverse audiences, conveying the narratives authentically and relatable.

"In Our DNA" is a public art initiative that highlights Cleveland's Black history to promote racial equity and social justice. The initiative aims to catalyze racial equity and social justice in the present and future.”

AFTER STONEWALL (2019)

In 2020, he was featured artist for “NOCTURNE”, an audio-installation of interviews between LGBTQIA community members that was featured in Columbus Museum of Art’s AFTER STONEWALL exhibit.

  • Collaborated with co-creators to cultivate relevant projects for the AFTER STONEWALL exhibit and description.

  • Wrote copy for pamphlet featured in the exhibit on the necessity of queer resilience and friendship.

BQIC (2018-2020) 

  • Crafted compelling and informative content for the organization's newsletters, delivering vital community updates, event highlights, and calls to action to a diverse audience of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies.

  • Demonstrated exceptional copywriting skills by effectively translating complex topics into accessible language, resulting in increased reader engagement and a more informed community.

  • Collaborated closely with fellow organizers to gather information, curate event content, and convey the organization's mission through engaging cultural projects to resonate with Black LGBTQIA+ folks in Columbus, OH, and around Ohio.

  • Played a pivotal role in expanding the organization's reach by developing clear and impactful communications strategies, contributing to significant growth in membership and event participation during the height of the 2020 protests.

  • Leveraged copywriting expertise to drive participation in advocacy campaigns, fundraisers, and awareness initiatives; notably raising thousands of dollars a month for the BQIC Emergency Fund.

  • Managed and maintained the organization's social media presence, creating posts that effectively communicated upcoming events, organizational news, and calls to action, further amplifying the impact of the collective's work.
